CHICAGO — A woman was attacked early Sunday on the lakefront trail in Lakeview.
At 8 a.m., the 30-year-old woman was jogging on the path near the 3700 block of North Recreation Drive when a man grabbed her in a bear hug and threw her to the ground, according to a Chicago Police news release.
The woman fought off the man and he ran away, police said.
The attacker was described as a black man who was 20-30 years old, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet and 170-190 pounds, police said. He had shoulder-length dreadlocks and wore a red T-shirt and khaki pants.
Anyone with information about the attack was asked to call police at 312-744-8261.
