IRVING PARK — A man suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by an SUV that then drove off Saturday evening.
A dark-colored SUV was reportedly seen moving through the 3900 block of North Pulaski Road around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when it hit a man walking in the street.
The SUV’s driver didn’t stop, render aid or exchange information with anyone, police said. The hit and run happened in a block with a high volume of pedestrian traffic and is near multiple CTA bus stops, the Blue Line, a Walgreens and an entrance and exit to the Kennedy expressway.
In an alert Monday evening, police said the injuries the man sustained in the hit and run are life-threatening. No additional information regarding his condition or the hit and run was available on Tuesday morning.
