Businesses Robbed At Gunpoint In Albany Park

In two of the robberies a man entered the business and used a gun to demand money from the cash register, police said.

ALBANY PARK — Four businesses were robbed in the Albany Park and North Park areas at the end of last month.

In two of the robberies, a gunman entered and demanded money from the cash register, police said. In another the man implied he had a handgun before demanding money. In the most recent robbery the man just demanded money.

These robberies happened in the:

  • 4000 block of West Lawrence Avenue at 1:35 a.m. on Aug. 28
  • 4100 block of West Lawrence Avenue at 9:49 p.m. on Aug. 28.
  • 3300 block of West Foster Avenue at 11:32 p.m. on Aug. 29.
  • 3500 block of West Lawrence Avenue at 4:48 p.m. on Aug. 30.

Police are advising businesses in the area to install a working video surveillance system. Anyone with information regarding these robberies should contact Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
