LINCOLN SQUARE — Fox’s “Empire” is bringing some London flavor to Lincoln Square this week.

Permits filed with the city show that the North Side neighborhood, known for its German history and architecture, is being dressed up to resemble London for a flashback sequence on the show.

For the show, the former Chicago Brauhaus, 4732 N. Lincoln Ave., was dressed up as a London dive bar. A red telephone booth was added across the street from it and a red double decker bus and white van with British signage were parked in the area.

Businesses are open during filming. But there are some parking restrictions for Montrose Avenue, Lincoln Avenue, Lawrence Avenue and a few other neighborhood streets while the crews are filming through Tuesday.
