BUCKTOWN — The long-running Bucktown Arts Fest will bring 190 artists to Senior Citizens Park this weekend, plus offer live music, food, beer and a dog parade.
Staffed entirely by a volunteers, the 33rd annual fest is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 2238 N. Oakley Ave. in Bucktown, just east of Western Avenue. Admission to the fest is free.

As an additional perk, the always dog-friendly fest will again host a dog parade after a successful inaugural parade last year.
Set for 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sunday, the rain or shine “Barktown Dog Parade” will charge a $10 entry fee per dog (waived for fosters and locally adoptable dogs), with all proceeds going to the Bucktown Arts Fest. Each four legged attendee will receive a free fest bandana or Frisbee and there will be a dog costume contest with prizes.
All proceeds from the fest’s beer and wine sales are donated to arts programs and music classes at nearby Holstein Park and local schools.
