Pilsen Fest Highlights Neighborhood’s Culture And Latinx Talent This Weekend

The festival, featuring live music, art and education workshops, kicks off Saturday in Pilsen.

PILSEN — Thousands of people are expected to descend on Pilsen this weekend to celebrate the neighborhood’s rich, cultural talents.

Pilsen Fest, which runs from noon-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 18th Street and Blue Island Avenue, aims to highlight Pilsen’s culture and Latinx talent through music, theatre, poetry and food. 

Hello Seahorse!, Sussie4, Bicho Blanco, Nortec B+F, Sin Color, Lady Midnight, Nani Castle are among the many performers set to take the stage throughout the weekend. A full lineup is here.

The 8th annual outdoor fest will also include Spanish theater performances, a traveling zoo, arts and sculpture workshops and more.

The fest is free, but attendees will be asked to give a $1 donation upon entering the fest. The donation benefits the Pilsen Community Market.

VIP tickets, which include access to after parties, balcony views of the main stage, private bathrooms, and more, are also available for $15.

Pilsen Fest aims to promote and preserve Pilsen’s rich heritage as a historic port of entry for thousands of Latino and Mexican immigrants. The fest is sponsored by bilingual online magazine El BeiSMan.
