CHICAGO — Police have released photos of a man they say raped a woman outside a Foo Fighters concert over the weekend near Wrigley Field.
Police are still looking for the man, who ran away after the attack, officials said.
At 9:30 p.m. Sunday, the woman was standing in line for food when a man groped her, said Officer Jennifer Bryk, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The woman got out of the food line and went to a portable toilet in the 1000 block of West Addison Street.
A man followed the woman into the toilet before she could lock it. He then sexually assaulted the woman, Bryk said.
The woman was taken to a local hospital.
The man was white, 30-45 years old, about 6 feet tall and weighed 200-220 pounds, police said. He was also described as balding but with brown hair.
Anyone with information about the incident or man was asked to call police at 312-744-8261.
Cubs spokesman Julian Green said the team is helping police.
“We were notified of an assault of a female guest and immediately contacted Chicago Police during last night’s event at Wrigley Field,” Green said. “We are using every available resource to help authorities identify and apprehend the suspect and are working with CPD to address the matter quickly. We are encouraging anyone who may have information to please contact police.”
The attack was first reported by CWB Chicago.
