PILSEN — A man was arrested after a fight broke out at the 46th annual Fiesta Del Sol this weekend in Pilsen, police said.
The fight was caught on a one-minute video and posted on Facebook. The video been viewed more than half a million times since Saturday.
In the video, a group of men is seen fighting while private security and police attempt to break up the brawl.
Police said the fight broke out at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of West Cermak Road.
A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with reckless conduct, Chicago Police officer Christine Calace said.
No other details were available and no injuries were reported.
The annual festival sponsored by Pilsen Neighbors Community Council is a four-day, family-friendly summer festival that raises money for annual community events and a scholarship program.
According to the organization, it’s one of the largest Latino festivals in the Midwest attracting more than 1.3 million people over the four days.
Event organizers did not respond to request for comment.
