CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was stabbed while trying to break up a fight in Lincoln Park early Sunday.
At 2:43 a.m., the man was in the 600 block of West Belden Avenue when he tried to end a fight between other people, police said. Someone stabbed the man in the left side of his ribs and in the right side of his chest.
The man was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in serious condition, police said.
The attacker was a bald man who wore a purple suit with a black tie, police said. He left after the stabbing.
