PILSEN — A quartet of bands will take the stage at Thalia Hall to raise money for pediatric cancer next month in Pilsen.

Chicago bands American Grizzly, Rookie and Melkbelly will be joined by Tongues Unknown for a benefit concert dubbed FCK CNCR FST on Aug. 18.

The inaugural concert will bring together local bands to raise money for Pat Mac’s Pack, an organization focused on pediatric brain tumor research.

The organization supports drug research and development, the advancement of surgical procedures to treat pediatric brain tumors and assists young cancer patients and their families.

Pat Mac’s Pack was established following the death of Patrick Thomas McNamara. He was diagnosed with ependymoma at 26 months. Patrick endured more than 15 surgeries before dying at the age of 13, according to the organization’s website.

Concert tickets are for sale online and range from $25 to $250. All ticket proceeds will be donated to Pat Mac’s Pack, organizers said.

FCK CNCR FST kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at Thalia Hall, 1807 S. Allport St.
