CHICAGO — Knife-wielding robbers tied up a 74-year-old woman with duct tape in the Park Manor neighborhood while they went through her home and stole electronics, according to police and a published report.

At 6:30 p.m., the woman was sitting in her living room in the 6700 block of South Prairie Avenue when she heard footsteps in the back of the apartment, police said.

Three men got into her apartment, took out a knife and restrained the woman, police said. They robbed her and then drove away in a gray car.

The woman told Fox32 the robbers used duct tape to bind her wrists and across her mouth to silence her as she sat in a recliner watching “Wheel of Fortune.” They then stole her son’s DJ equipment, a laptop and televisions.
