SOUTH LOOP — A man on a Divvy bike snatched a woman’s purse early Friday near Printer’s Row.
At 12:24 a.m., the woman, 35, and three of her friends were walking in the 700 block of South State Street when a man on a Divvy bike rode up to them and took the woman’s purse, police said.
The woman struggled with the man and he crashed his Divvy bike into one of her friends.
The man then ran away and the woman briefly chased him but lost sight of him, police said.
The man might have had an accomplice, police said, as a man approached the women to help them but they later saw him with the robber.
No one was injured. No one was in custody.
