Shakespeare In The Parks: Here’s The Full Schedule Of Free Shows

Chicago Shakespeare Theater's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" will make stops at 18 parks this summer.

CHICAGO — Looking for a unique night out for a date or family outing?

This year’s Chicago Shakespeare In The Parks kicked off this week, offering free performances at 18 parks all over the city. It’s a production of Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

This summer’s performance is founder/artistic director Barbara Gaines’ adaption of the comedy classic “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

The show lasts 75 minutes, and it’s performed on a large stage that moves park to park aboard a specially equipped truck.
