DOUGLAS PARK — Riot Fest is offering discounts and even free tickets to its fans.

Three-day passes for this year’s festival are available for $99.98 for a limited time online, according to a Riot Fest email sent to its supporters. Extra one-day general admission passes will also be available to people who already bought tickets, allowing them to bring an extra person to the festival during the day of their choosing.

Another bonus reserved for people who already bought tickets: Riot Fest will have $99.98 three-day passes for next year’s festival.

The offers were made available after Riot Fest reached a settlement with its online ticket partner, Ticketfly, because Ticketfly was compromised by a hacker during this year’s festival lineup announcement in May, according to Riot Fest.

“Granted, there were people chirping in my ear to just keep the settlement and go about our business as usual — but they should know us better by now,” wrote Riot Fest founder Mike Petryshyn in the email to supporters. “If it was only about the bottom line, Riot would have been sold to some apathetic conglomerate years ago. But it’s not about that. Not one bit.”

Riot Fest will email those who already bought tickets with instructions on how to claim their free and discounted tickets. Otherwise, the discounted three-day passes for this year’s festival are available immediately through Ticketfly and Eventbrite.

The festival runs Sept. 14-16 in Douglas Park. This year’s lineup includes Blink 182, Beck, Blondie and Alkaline Trio.
