WEST LOOP — A developer wants to add two more residential towers to the West Loop, and will present the plans to the community this week.
Developer Tandem Partners will present plans for a 21-story tower at 1050 W. Van Buren St. and a 24-story building at 1125 W. Van Buren St. at a meeting from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Merit School of Music, 38 S. Peoria St. in the West Loop.
Under plans, the 21-story building at 1050 W. Van Buren will include 201 residential units with 73 parking spaces. The proposed 1125 West Van Buren building will be slightly taller at 24 stories and will include 210 residential units and seven parking spaces.
The ground floors for the towers will be designated for commercial and retail use, according to the West Loop Community Organization.
In January, Crain’s reported on the proposed high rises on the south end of the West Loop.
The meeting is hosted by the West Loop Community Organization and Ald. Danny Solis (25th).
