CHICAGO — A group of men tried to bribe a 4-year-old girl with candy to lure her over to them Tuesday on the Northwest Side, police said.

At 4:15 p.m., the girl was in front of her home in the 4000 block of North Plainfield Avenue when a white van with three men inside stopped nearby, police said.

“Hey, I’ve got candy for you,” one of the men told the girl.

The girl didn’t respond and ran inside her home, police said.

The men were described as 20 to 30 years old and white or Latino, police said. They were in a white van.
