DOWNTOWN — There are few ways more appropriate to celebrate National Hot Dog Day than by eating (what else?) a Chicago-style dog.
Luckily, several hot dog spots are offering a deal on their wieners for the holiday on Wednesday.
Here’s where you can find a deal:
America’s Dog & Burger
Where: Multiple locations
Deal: All hot dog fans can grab up to two Chicago-style wieners for $1 each 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at America’s Dog and Burger.
First responders, medical workers and military personnel can also get a free Chicago dog every Wednesday during July. They’ll need identification or an official uniform for the deal.
Dog Haus
Where: 2464 N. Lincoln Ave.
Deal: Fans of Dog Haus’ unusual wieners can download the chain’s app and register on it to get a hot dog for free on National Hot Dog Day.
Pop’s Italian Beef and Sausage
Where: Multiple locations
Deal: Orders of a hot dog and fries will be discounted to $1.99 on Wednesday for National Hot Dog Day.
Portillo’s
Where: Multiple locations
Deal: The beloved chain is offering fans two hot dogs for $5. Hot dog lovers can also participate in a Portillo’s scavenger hunt on social media for a chance to win gift cards and merchandise.
