Two Paramedics Hurt When Man Throws Brick Through Ambulance Window

CHICAGO — Two paramedics were wounded after being attacked with a brick in Woodlawn on Thursday.

At 12:44 p.m., a man threw a brick through the window of an ambulance while in the 6500 block of South Stony Island Avenue, police said.

The paramedics were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. One had a cut, said a Chicago Fire spokesman, but neither was seriously hurt.

The ambulance will be repaired and returned to service, the Fire Department spokesman said.

No one was in custody.
