WICKER PARK — The Get Up Kids, Red Fang, and Chicago-based hip hop artist Sir the Baptist will headline this year’s Wicker Park Fest, organizers announced on Tuesday.
Set for 5-10 p.m. July 27, and noon-10 p.m. on the 28th and 29th, the fest runs from the 1300-1600 blocks of North Milwaukee Avenue, between North and Paulina. A suggested donation entry fee of $10 benefits the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to live music, the fest features a dedicated children’s fun area and fashion fest, food and drink vendors, a specialty beer tent, 120 merchant booths, and an arts area with interactive exhibits and sculptures. The art fest at Wicker Park Fest is underwritten by the Wicker Park Bucktown Taxpayer District No. 33.
The arts fest will offer an interactive dry erase globe where festgoers can write on the globe, a curated live street art mural performance with DJs, live dancing and ping pong, and a roving performance art piece with multiple artists.
The Kids Fest at Wicker Park Fest (at Wolcott and Milwaukee) will run from noon – 6 p.m. on the 28-29 and feature inflatables, Au Pair Care (face painting), Super Soccer Stars (soccer clinics), Mad Science (science experiments), The Kids Table (cooking activities), City Epicurean Events (cookie decorating), Chess Wizards, Gogo Squeez (complimentary snacks!), Children’s Learning Place (toddler fun), 606 Karate (karate lessons), nail painting, hair streaking, carnival games, balloon animals, and a live entertainment stage.
Featured Kids Fest acts include Bill Crosby Music, Ben’s Bubble Show, Music House Variety Show, Mad Science, Merit School of Music, 606 Karate Demo, Bollywood Groove and more.
Dogs Welcome
Well-behaved dogs on leashes can attend the fest, though it gets very crowded at night, so keep that in mind.

There’s dedicated bike parking at the North Avenue entrance. Public transportation is recommended due to the crowds.
