Rash Of Armed Robberies Reported In Little Village

In three separate incidents, a man approached the victim wielding a handgun and robbed them, police said.

LITTLE VILLAGE — Police are warning residents after a series of armed robberies that occurred within hours of each other in Little Village Saturday.

In three separate incidents, a man approached the victim wielding a handgun and robbed them before fleeing in a gray Dodge Caravan, police said in a community alert.

The most recent incident occurred Saturday, July 8 at 3:38 p.m. in the 3700 block of West 26th Street. The other incidents occurred hours earlier at 2:24 p.m. in the 3100 block of South Ridgeway Avenue, and at 11:34 a.m. in the 2800 Block of South Ridgeway Avenue, police said. 

The suspect or suspects are described as one to three men between 20 and 35 years old,  5-foot-5 and 5-foot-10 and weighing 120 to 180 pounds.
