CHICAGO — A new food truck event on the Near North Side is coming this August.
The Near North Food Truck Social will have food from more than a dozen food trucks, including Beavers Donuts, the Fat Shallot, Harold’s Chicken and Giordano’s.
The weekend-long event will also feature work from an art pop-up truck, beer and wine, music from a DJ and a food truck with treats for leashed dogs.
Here’s the food truck lineup so far:

The trucks will sell their regular-sized items, but there will also be a $20 sampler package so attendees can try six sample-sized items from participating trucks. There will be areas for attendees to picnic.
The event is 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Aug. 11-12 on Sedgwick between Chicago Avenue and Locust Street. Entry will be a $5 donation.
