CHICAGO — The Fourth of July falls in the middle of the week this year, but there are still plenty of ways to celebrate in the city.

There are fireworks, cruises, picnics and more planned. Here’s where you can celebrate:

Downtown/The Loop

Fireworks Paddle
When: Starts at 7:15 p.m.
Where: Starts at 1220 W. LeMoyne Ave., but kayakers paddle to Navy Pier

Grant Park Music Festival Independence Day Salute
When: 6:30-8:45 p.m.
Where: Jay Pritzker Pavilion,  201 E. Randolph St.

Live on the Lake Concert With The Prissillas
When: 2-3:30 p.m.

When: 10 a.m.-noon

Chicago History Museum Annual Fourth of July Celebration
When: A series of events kick off at 10 a.m. with a singing of the National Anthem
