6 People Wounded In Mass Shooting At Ellis Park

One of the victims was a 15-year-old boy.

DOUGLAS — Six people were shot in Ellis Park in Douglas late Monday, Chicago Police said.

At 10:45 p.m. Monday, the victims were standing outside in the 3900 block of South Vincennes Avenue when someone shot at them, police said.

The victims include:
• A 27-year-old man who was hit in his leg. He took himself to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.
• A 24-year-old man who was hit in his ankle. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.
• A 15-year-old boy was hit in his ankle and was taken to Mercy Hospital in good condition.
• A 19-year-old man was hit twice in his hip, once in his buttocks and once in his arm. He was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.
• A 20-year-old man was hit in his hip and legs and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.
• A 22-year-old man was hit in his ankle. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.

No one was in custody in the shooting. No further information was immediately available.
