WEST LOOP— If you passed through West Loop Thursday night and you heard the music of major electronic dance music trio Major Lazer, you weren’t dreaming.
The trio, comprised of record producer Diplo, and DJs Jillionair and Walshy Fire, and special guest Olivia Culpo treated guests to a free outdoor show on the corner of Hubbard and Peoria, 933 W. Hubbard St.
The exclusive concert, Sound of Rum Sessions: Chicago, is a partnership between the trio and Bacardi, according to Scene Chicago. Guests were required to RSVP beforehand.
The fun kicked off at 7 p.m. and guests were treated to Bacardi cocktails and island bites, according to a flier circulating online.
Excited fans took to social media to share the concert vibes.
While those not in the know expressed their grief.
