CHICAGO — There have been a series of motor vehicles thefts in the Irving Park and Albany Park neighborhoods this month.
The vehicles were reported stolen from the:
- 4500 Block of North Avers Avenue between 4 a.m. June 3 and 7:30 a.m. June 4.
- 3600 Block of West Wilson Avenue between 5 p.m. June 4 and 2 a.m. June 5.
- 4500 Block of North Knox Avenue at 7:30 p.m. June 4.
- 4700 Block of North Lowell Avenue between 10 p.m. June 8 and 6 a.m. June 9.
- 4300 Block of North Mozart Street between 7 p.m. June 9 and 7:30 a.m. June 10.
- 3900 Block of West Lawrence Avenue at 2:25 p.m. June 11.
- 4300 Block of North Kostner Avenue between 6:05 p.m.-6:30 p.m. June 13.
In six of the incidents the vehicles were parked on the public way when they were stolen. In one of the thefts the owner of the vehicle had left the car running with the keys in the ignition, police said.
