CHICAGO — Two men were killed in separate shootings in Englewood this weekend.
At 6:14 a.m. Sunday, a 19-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 5800 block of South Peoria Street when he was shot in his head, police said.
The man was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
No further information was immediately available.
At 10:50 p.m. Friday, two men were shot in the 6700 block of South Parnell Avenue, police said. A 28-year-old man was walking when he got into an argument with three people.
Someone took out a gun and fired shots, hitting the man multiple times in his upper body, police said. The man was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he later died.
A second victim, a 24-year-old man, had his foot grazed by a bullet but refused medical treatment, police said.
No one was in custody in these shootings.
