ROSCOE VILLAGE — The Roscoe Village Farmers Market returns this weekend for its summer season.
The weekly market takes over Jahn Elementary School, 3149 N. Wolcott St., every Sunday from June 11-Oct. 8. It’s presented by the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce.
Shoppers will find fresh produce, bread, pastries, cheese, coffee and other goods. The market will also host kid-friendly activities, live music, free workouts and other events throughout the season.
Some planned activities include:
- Bounce houses from Lakeshore Sports & Fitness on June 18, July 16 and Aug. 13.
- Soccer activities led by the Chicago City Soccer Club on June 11, June 25 and July 9.
- Free workouts from Pure Barre Lakeview on June 11, July 9, Aug. 13, Sept. 10 and Oct. 8.
- Pups Pet Club activities on June 11, July 9, Aug. 6 and Oct. 8.
- Sports activities led by Game On! Sports for Girls on June 25, July 16, July 23 and Aug. 6.
- Rosh Hashanah-themed markets with apples, honey, kids’ activities, bee education and specialty food.
- A weekly scavenger hunt throughout the market to keep kids occupied while their parents shop.
This summer’s market features more than 20 vendors, which can be viewed on the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber’s website.
