BEVERLY — Police are looking for the driver of a white SUV who killed a man in a hit-and-run Thursday.

At 6:20 p.m. Thursday, the driver of a white 2007 Chevrolet Equinox hit two people who had been walking east on 95th Street at Ashland Avenue, police said. A 63-year-old man died from his injuries.

After the hit-and-run, the driver went north on Ashland Avenue. Their car was last seen going north in the 7700 block of South Aberdeen Street with its hazard lights on, police said. The car had damage to its hood and passenger side fender.

The license plate number is CZ74463, police said. The driver was described by witnesses as a Black man, about 6 feet tall, 25-35 years old and with a slender build, police said. He had a beard and was wearing a baseball cap.
