JEFFERSON PARK — LaBagh Woods’ upcoming fall festival will feature nature walks, live music and eco-friendly giveaways, organizers said.
The annual Fall Nature Fest is noon-3 p.m. Sept. 17 at LaBagh Woods at West Foster Avenue and North Cicero Avenue, according to the event’s website.
Attendees can expect self-guided nature walks, kite flying, short music lessons, face painting, live performances and food trucks. Attendees will be able to meet animals from the Brookfield Zoo noon-12:45 p.m.
The Jesse White Tumblers will perform at 1 p.m., and there will be live music provided by Things that Fly 2-3 p.m.
Organizers are also giving away various items while supplies last, including milkweed seed packets you can plant in your yard to attract endangered monarch butterflies, more than 200 Brookfield Zoo tickets, bags of compost and mini pumpkins.
You can also enter a raffle to win rain barrels that can be used to conserve water, according to the website.
