CHICAGO — Christkindlmarket is back this winter — and so are its beloved collectible mugs.
This year marks Christkindlmarket’s 25th anniversary, as well as its return after not being held in person last year due to the pandemic. The 2021 mug comes in a flute shape and features a detailed market scene and Chicago’s skyline.
Its Peppermint the Penguin mug, dedicated to non-alcoholic beverages, is back with an updated design to celebrate the anniversary.
You can order the 2021 souvenir mug online for $7.00. Shipping will start Nov. 25.
Christkindlmarket is also releasing its first ornament in what will become another annual tradition. It’s a glass-blown and hand-painted ornament from Europe. You can order it online for $35.

Gift boxes that were released last year during the Virtual Holiday Market are coming back, as well. This year, customers can choose from four kinds of boxes, which include the ornament, mugs and vendor goodies, among other things. The gift boxes cost $49.99-$99.99.
Fans will also be able to buy the mugs and ornament when the market returns Nov. 19.
The market runs 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Sundays and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday through Dec. 24 at Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington St.
Christkindlmarket Wrigleyville will also return at Gallagher Way, 3635 N. Clark St.
Updates are on Christkindlmarket Chicago’s Facebook page.
